Buttons can be reused many times.

Most buttons manufactured today are plastic, with lesser amounts crafted from wood, metal, bone and seashell.

Reduce the need for new buttons by sourcing from secondhand and charity shops.

Take buttons to the ReUse Academy at the Whanganui Environment Base, second-hand or charity shop. Check the internet for button craft uses.

Buttons are not recyclable.

Plastic buttons do not biodegrade. Keep out of landfill where possible.
