Reduce plastic bread bag waste by baking your own bread, or buying unwrapped from the local market and bakeries. Take your own reusable bag to have your bread put into.

Reuse bread bags as much as possible before disposal

• carry sports gear, footwear, wet togs
• carry your lunch
• freeze leftovers

There is currently no soft plastic recycling in our region. The Whanganui Resource Recovery Centre continues to investigate options.

Please keep from landfill wherever possible.
